AMD continues to push the boundaries in the graphics card world. This time, it has attracted a lot of attention with the RX 7800M model it developed for mobile devices. In particular, the tests conducted on a portable computer called OneXGPU 2 proved how powerful this new beast from AMD is. In fact, in 3DMark Time Spy tests, the RX 7800M left the mobile version of the RTX 4070 behind by 28% .
AMD RX 7800M tested: 28% difference to RTX 4090 graphics card
Based on AMD’s Navi 32 GPU , the RX 7800M showed off its power with 3840 stream processors . Speaking of its features, the card has a 192-bit memory interface and 12 GB GDDR6 memory, which provides a very stable experience, especially in graphically intensive games and applications.
The AMD RX 7800M offers performance between AMD’s desktop graphics cards, the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT models. Because when we look at the test results, it really showed impressive results. The RX 7800M scored 15,806 points in the 3DMark Time Spy test, which is 28% higher than the RTX 4070 mobile version.
However, it should be noted that this card performs 16% lower than the mobile version of the RTX 4080. Still, it is clear that the AMD RX 7800M card is a very attractive option in terms of price-performance balance. Its gaming performance is also remarkable. At 2560×1600 resolution, it offers a performance in the 60-70 FPS range in popular games like God of War at ultra settings .
